Option 1 Penfolds Red Wine Clinic 2025, Minor Label Stain/s Option 2 Just Below Base of Neck, Minor Label Stain/s Critic tasting note: (1990 vintage) "This is a charmingly brash and impressively bold expression with blueberry, blackberry and mocha ,as well as cedary oak. The palate is very fleshy, concentrated and dense with a sturdy bed of polished and long tannins. Such impressive length, youthfulness and power. Wow! Drink or hold." - 98/100, James Suckling Producer Notes The original and most powerful expression of Penfolds multi-vineyard, multi-district blending philosophy, Grange is arguably Australia’s most celebrated wine and is officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia. Crafted utilising fully-ripe, intensely-flavoured and structured shiraz grapes, the result is a unique Australian style that is now recognised as one of the most consistent of the world’s great wines. With an unbroken line of vintages from the experimental 1951, Grange clearly demonstrates the synergy between shiraz and the soils and climates of South Australia. This release in 2021 commemorates the 70th anniversary since Grange was first made. Drinking Window: 2000 - 2035 Blend 95% Syrah & 5% Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard Notes Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Coonawarra Ageing Matured in new American oak hogsheads for 18 months. Producer Tasting Notes COLOUR Medium-full red/purple colour NOSE It is a beautifully weighted and concentrated wine combining very intense, ripe plummy aromas with smoky vanillin oak. PALATE Already, the wine is supremely complex and harmonious, with ripe plum and coffee-like luscious fruit, integrated oak, fine tannins and excellent length.
