About This Wine
The Cyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon is named in honour of Stephen Henschke’s father, Cyril Henschke (1924–1979), one of Australia’s most influential winemaking pioneers and a champion of single-vineyard wines.
The Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted in the Eden Valley in the 1960s on a north-facing slope, alongside Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Grown using organic and biodynamic practices, the wine is celebrated for its texture, depth, complexity and fine-grained tannins.
