About This Wine First released in 1959, Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz takes its name from the historic Kalimna vineyard in the Barossa Valley, purchased by Penfolds in 1945. By the mid-1990s, Bin 28 had become a firmly established expression of warm-climate Australian Shiraz. The 1995 vintage represents a mature, fully resolved example from this era. Produced as a multi-regional, multi-vineyard blend with Barossa Valley fruit consistently represented, this wine reflects the style and winemaking philosophy of Penfolds in the 1990s.
