About This Wine
Côte-Rôtie “La Turque” is one of the three legendary single-vineyard wines of E. Guigal and a flagship expression of the Côte Brune. Sourced from iron-rich schist and clay soils, La Turque combines power and precision with a distinctive sense of elegance.
The 2006 vintage shows an intensely aromatic profile, driven by small red fruits, blackberry and morello cherry. The palate opens with a supple attack before building concentration and structure, supported by elegant, finely shaped tannins. With the virility of the Côte Brune balanced by the subtlety associated with the Côte Blonde, La Turque delivers both authority and finesse.
