“A complex, fragrant bouquet foreshadows a palate with tremendous thrust and vitality to its array of spicy, ripe black fruits which have a backbone of sweetness; imposing length.”
About This Wine
Southern Rhone Red Blend of Shiraz, Viognier, Marsanne & Tempranillo from Yarra Valley, Victoria.
Fruit was hand-picked, transferred across a sorting table and destemmed directly to half-tonne open fermenters. As much whole berry as possible was retained to encourage perfume. A portion of fermenters had frozen Viognier skins added to the bottom.
The wine was aged for 15 months in French oak barriques, 30% new before blending and bottling.
