The vineyard faces north and contains no galets roulés. Wines are matured in larger-format 450-liter barrels. A small ten-hectare vineyard planted in very poor, sandy soil produces wines with great finesse. About the Winery Château Rayas is one of the most prestigious estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and has been in the Reynaud family since the 1880s. Owner Emmanuel Reynaud also makes the Château de Fonsalette and Pialade Côtes du Rhône wines at the Rayas winery.
