— James Suckling · 2012 Vintage · Tasted: Jun 2022
“At ten years of age, this is showing some tertiary tobacco and autumnal leafiness, but remains fresh and composed. Blackcurrant and dark-cherry aromas with plenty of sweetly spicy oak, too. The palate has density with elegance, real poise and concentration. Acidity and tannin structure are nicely interwoven. Drink or hold.”
