About This Wine
Rifle Range Cabernet Sauvignon is produced by Rockford Wines in the Barossa Valley. The wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and styled as a rich and intense red wine.
About the Winery
Rockford Wines is a wine producer based in Australia’s Barossa Valley. The winery was founded in the early 1980s by Robert O’Callaghan, with the inaugural vintage released in 1984.
Rockford works in partnership with independent wine growers around the Barossa, including vineyards in Kalimna, Ebenezer, Moppa Springs, Eden Valley and central Barossa. Many vines are planted on their own rootstocks, with some up to 130 years old.
Winemaking is largely traditional, using basket presses, open-topped slate fermenters and a 1880s petrol-driven Bagshaw destemmer/crusher.
