The wine showcases the power and flavour of these old vines from a single nine-acre vineyard planted in the nineteenth century. The fruit was handpicked and left on skins for seven days, with gentle pump-overs twice daily. The wine was matured in French oak puncheons, including new and seasoned barrels, for extended ageing.
