— James Suckling · 2014 Vintage
“A deep and gently spicy rendition of redder-fruited shiraz. Old vine depth and purity. Tannins run long and dense. Darker fruits pervade the finish.”

About This Wine
Kaesler Old Vine Shiraz is produced from vines planted in 1961. The vineyard was established using cuttings from the Old Bastard 1893 vines, and the wine is aged in barrels first used by Old Bastard Shiraz.
The fruit is carefully hand harvested from old vines. Fermentation and maturation are conducted with an emphasis on preserving fruit purity and tannin balance, followed by extended ageing in French oak puncheons.
