“Cabernet aromas of blueberries and blackcurrants here. Some leafy notes and a palate that delivers tangy flavors amid ripe, sinewy tannins. A spiced, blue-fruit finish. Drink now.”
About This Wine
Produced by Langmeil Winery in the Barossa Valley, this Cabernet Sauvignon reflects a rich and intense red wine style.
About the Producer
Langmeil Winery is a South Australian producer in the Barossa Valley, known for its old-vine Shiraz and a range of varietal wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Riesling and Chardonnay.
The estate traces its origins to 1843 when German immigrant Christian Auricht established the vineyard. The historic Freedom vineyard, planted with Shiraz, is considered among the oldest surviving Shiraz vineyards in the world.
The winery was first built in 1932 and underwent periods of decline before being revitalised in 1996, with the first Langmeil-labelled vintage released in 1997.
