The 2017 Yattarna Chardonnay is the pinnacle white wine in Penfolds’ collection, sourced from the coolest climates of Tasmania and the Adelaide Hills. Crafted with meticulous precision, it reflects Penfolds’ commitment to producing an ultra-fine, age-worthy Chardonnay. It opens with a pale gold hue and expressive aromas of white stone fruit, lemon curd, toasted brioche, cashew, and subtle struck flint. The palate is layered and tightly coiled, delivering citrus, white peach, and nougat, underpinned by fine French oak and bracing acidity. Textural, precise, and long on the finish, this vintage balances power with finesse. Fermented and matured in French oak (mostly new), it showcases complex structure and longevity.
