"A lovely perfume of subtle cooked apples, heather, jasmine and flint follows through to a medium body with a dense palate of fruit. Hints of pears and lychees with some honey and a touch of marzipan. A blend of 90% pinot noir and 10% chardonnay. Drink or hold."
About This Wine
La Grande Dame 2018 is a celebration of Madame Clicquot's vision and audacity. In her time she earned the title ‘la grande dame de la Champagne’ – a mark of enduring respect. This vintage expresses a new facet of l'Art du Pinot Noir, described as deep and precise.
To mark this vintage, the new gift box thoughtfully pioneers the use of hemp, one of the fastest carbon converting solutions on earth. It makes up 60% of the yellow paper. Every meticulous detail of the gift box is crafted to elevate gifting.
Winemaking
La Grande Dame cuvée honors Madame Clicquot's brilliant vision for champagne with a blend crafted upon 90% Pinot Noir, her favorite grape variety. Ahead of her time, she wrote: "Our black grapes give the finest white wines.".
