91–93/100 — Neal Martin, Vinous · 2019 Vintage
“The 2019 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru undergoes an extended élevage and was taken from tank. It has a complex, well-defined bouquet featuring notes of crushed limestone, yellow flowers and a touch of black currant leaf and oyster leaf. The palate is well balanced and certainly rich, delivering a smooth, honeyed texture and good weight. This is perhaps lower in acidity than the 2020, with a very harmonious finish. This will be fascinating to re-taste in bottle.”
90–93/100 — Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy · 2019 Vintage · Tasted Jul 2020
“Pale in colour and fresh on the nose, left bank austerity shines through at first, then the main body of the wine is much fleshier behind. Even with some heat at the finish, but more spice. Good grip though, this has potential to be a grand vin de garde.”
