93/100 — Gabrielle Poy · 2019 Vintage (Published: 14 Nov 2025, When to drink: 2025–2029)
“Dark chocolate, dried thyme and vanilla mix with dark red cherry notes. On the palate, more tertiary flavours take hold—mushroom, leather and mulch—which combine to offer a more savoury flavour profile. The tannins are starting to unfurl, creating a more pliant impression, although it still has a few years of life left.”
About This Wine
A brighter, punchy take on the estate’s Pinot Noir, showing fleshy red fruit and florals on a lush, intense nose with a hint of smoked meat. The palate is big and rounded, led by cherries and light spice, supported by fine, smooth tannins and a returning suggestion of smoke.
About the Winery
Moorilla makes three styles of wine. Praxis is the bold and the immediate. Muse is the old world remade in the new. Cloth Label is luxurious and daring, decades in the making.
Its sibling winery, Domaine A, produces big, Bordeaux-inspired wines and younger, drink-now styles under the Stoney Vineyard label.
