Then red gum leaves, old leather, boysenberries, blueberries, blue plums and blackberry conserve, to name a few. Vanilla pods and a touch of pomegranate. When the nose gives way to generosity and layers of rich fruit and spices, the palate is different altogether: tightly knit tannins, sleek acidity, fine-tuned fruit, with only that generous alcohol accent taking over at the end. Nevertheless, the length is incredible for the endurance of its structure.
