95/100 — Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion · 2021 Vintage
“Sourced from three vineyards with an average vine age of 70 years, with 17 months in French oak. This is an abundant wine of dark-fruited depth and sleek elaboration to bottle. It’s silky, full of black berries and plum, chocolate and clove, along with some meatier, smoky notes, iron and violet. It’s got intensity and suppleness while maintaining keen balance, the elegantly fine tannins signing off in style.”

Tasting Notes
Deep purple in colour with a crimson edge. Captivating aromas of mulberry, dark plum, and blueberry fruit with notes of coffee, star anise and cinnamon along with polished leather and earth adding intrigue to the bouquet. A powerful combination of rich sweet blackberry fruit and fine tannin gives this wine great depth of flavour, with balance and texture.
