César Márquez, a scion of the winemaking Pérez family, began his solo venture in 2015 in Bierzo, Spain. With roots tracing back nine generations, he now crafts wines that reflect the region's terroir, focusing on old vines and minimal intervention. Absolutely stunning wines, with so much life.  Why do we like it? 'El Rapolao' is a Mencía wine from a legendary vineyard in Valtuille de Abajo, Bierzo. This wine, aged in used oak, showcases the freshness and elegance of the region's Mencía grapes, offering expressive red fruit, spice, and a distinctive minerality from its unique, cool plot.
