Bright red cherry and roasted beetroot compete with exotic spices of white pepper, cinnamon, and sandalwood. There is a hint of briar and stem influence with damp undergrowth notes adding to an evolving bouquet. The palate is soft and creamy. A mid-weight wine with fine tannins and a cleansing acid spine ensuring freshness. It's one of those wines that clearly falls into the camp of shiraz but wanting to masquerade as a pinot. Delightfully quaffable.

Another cool ripening season has delivered delicately spiced shiraz. This wine has been made from select parcels of fruit sourced from the exceptional Warner Vineyard. The 2022 is medium-bodied and already approachable as a young wine.
"Medium-deep red with a good tint of purple and a sweetly ripe, almost slightly jammy aroma with lots of Rhône-ish spices adding to the lifted perfume. Cloves, pepper, mace and other spices, flowing through a long and elegant palate. More bunchy the longer it was in the glass, and very detailed. A very stylish shiraz indeed, drinking superbly already."
