About This Wine This Cabernet showcases classic Eden Valley characters of cassis and rich black cherry with subtle savoury spice. The Mountadam Vineyards Five Fifty range is named after the estate’s altitude of 550 metres above sea level. All Mountadam wines are sourced entirely from the estate’s 147 hectares under vine. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night on 22 April from Block 38 on the estate’s eastern vineyard at an average of 13.8ºBe. Fermentation took place in 5-tonne and 10-tonne open fermenters. All parcels were matured in one-year-old and seasoned French oak barriques.
