About This Wine
The 2022 McLaren Vale growing season featured mild spring temperatures, moderate rainfall, and a warm, dry summer, fostering exceptional fruit quality. Grapes were sourced from the Willunga and Sellicks Hill areas of McLaren Vale, grown on heavy clay-loam soils.
The wine was matured for 18 months in a combination of American and French oak. It was made by a veteran McLaren Vale winemaker with over 35 years of experience in the cellar, working under an ethos to produce certified biodynamic wines.
Tasting Notes
Deep crimson red with a depth of velvet brilliance. Aromas of ripe red berries, warm nutmeg and a whisper of cinnamon, layered with cedar oak. A vibrant spice profile extends onto the palate, complemented by fine tannins and concentrated red berry flavours. Well-integrated oak, bright acidity and a lingering finish complete the wine.
