Vineyard and Winemaking RWT, short for Red Winemaking Trial, sources fruit exclusively from premium Barossa Valley vineyards. Unlike traditional Penfolds Shiraz styles that employ American oak, RWT is matured solely in French oak barriques, a significant portion new. This approach enhances aromatic detail, texture, and finesse, while allowing the vineyard expression and fruit purity to take centre stage. Tasting Notes Deep crimson in colour, the nose reveals dark plum, blackberry, and blueberry layered with notes of rose petal, mocha, and fine spice.
