Stéphane Usseglio's Les Amandiers originates from the Rhône Valley and is classified under the Vin de France appellation. This wine is made entirely from Grenache and, in line with a commitment to sustainability, is an organic red with an intense character. It features a vibrant nose with spicy aromas, while the palate offers flavors of cocoa and roasted notes. Aged for 16 to 24 months in casks, the tannins in this cuvée are present yet refined. This unique wine is well-balanced, combining both charm and freshness.
Why do we like it?
The wine has a lovely intensity to it, with ripe black cherries and black currants. It also reveals a lifted floral perfume matched with some curing spices, such as cloves and nutmeg. We feel the wine is still young, so you can age it for another 5 years to come.
