Awards and Ratings 94 / 100 – Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy) 92 / 100 – Jane Anson (Inside Bordeaux) 90 / 100 – The Wine Front About This Wine Aroha is made from the Pinot Noir parcels of Craggy Range’s estate-owned Te Muna Vineyard in Martinborough. The fruit comes from vines over 20 years old planted on clay-over-stone soils. Winemaking features open-top stainless steel tanks and French oak cuves, followed by 14 months of maturation. Closure is screwcap. Tasting Notes James Suckling (tasted Feb 2025) Perfumed aromas of wild strawberries, potpourri, dark cherries and citrus peel. Medium-bodied palate with integrated tannins, balanced acidity and flavours of red apples, graphite, hibiscus and pureed raspberries. Refined and pure with a savoury edge. Drink or hold. Jasper Morris (tasted Sep 2025) – 94 points Details not provided beyond score. The Wine Front (tasted Jul 2025) – 90 points Jane Anson (tasted Jul 2025) – 92 points When to drink: 2025 to 2032. Winery Notes ‘Aroha’ means “love” in te reo Māori. The wine is produced from Te Muna Vineyard in Martinborough, where older vines and stony, clay-infused soils contribute structure. The region is known for warm, dry summers and mild winters, producing Pinot Noir with aromatic lift, minerality and fine structure.
