2021 Vintage
“The cool 2021 vintage has put a new spring in the step of Turkey Flat Shiraz, providing spicy lift and tang to the deep black fruits of grand old vines dating from 1847. Mineral-fine tannins are propelled by vibrant acidity to considerable persistence and compelling longevity. One of the greats.”

95 Points
“Stylish and complex, the wine shows blackberry, thyme, cured meat and elegant oak aromas on the nose, followed by a silky-smooth palate offering excellent weight and supple texture. Wonderfully harmonious and refined with finely infused tannins, finishing superbly long and enticing. At its best: now to 2038.”
About This Wine
Shiraz carries great significance in the Barossa Valley, and Turkey Flat Vineyards are caretakers of some of the oldest surviving Shiraz vines in the world, dating back to 1847. This wine has received numerous awards since its first vintage in 1990.
This Shiraz is the result of an intricate blending process. Each parcel of fruit is individually vinified and aged in specially selected French oak barrels before the final blend is created, with careful consideration given to cellaring potential while retaining freshness and balance.
