Sophisticated, showing a pronounced reductive character. Layered aromas of struck match are well supported by robust flavours of preserved lemon and peach. The palate is packed with flavour, with a bite of acidity that gives admirable tension to its weight. There is much to like before the wine softens on the finish.

Deep Woods Estate, located in the Yallingup Hills of Margaret River, has become one of Australia’s leading producers of modern Chardonnay. The Reserve Chardonnay is its flagship white wine — a multi-award-winning benchmark known for purity, power, and refinement. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, it consistently stands among Australia’s greatest Chardonnays.
VineyardThe fruit for the 2024 vintage comes from premium sites in the Yallingup and Wilyabrup subregions—areas defined by ancient gravel-loam soils, cooling maritime breezes, and exceptional natural acidity. Hand-picked fruit is whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in fine-grained French oak (mostly puncheons), with extended lees contact to build texture while preserving mineral drive.
VintageMargaret River’s 2024 vintage was near-perfect: cool nights, mild days, and a long ripening window that produced Chardonnay of superb aromatic intensity and precision. The vintage favours finesse over opulence, with exceptional clarity, purity, and age-worthiness.
Tasting NotesThe 2024 Deep Woods Reserve Chardonnay opens with aromas of white peach, lemon zest, nectarine, and jasmine, supported by notes of flint, grilled nuts, and subtle oak spice. The palate is crystalline and finely textured — citrus and stone fruit layered with saline minerality and creamy lees influence. A bright acid line drives a long, focused finish. Elegant, poised, and beautifully balanced.
