2024 IL Vignaiolo Sangiovese 750ml

Tumbler wine that’s perfetto when a little old country taverna vibe is required. Juicy from the start but with enough trademark bricky tannin. Emilia Romagna is a beautiful place and we are thankful to have this.  Brand: IL Vignaiolo  Region: Emilia Romagna, Italy Variety: Sangiovese  Vintage: 2024 Alcohol: 12.5%  Ageing: now to 2032 Medium full red with the merest trace of purple, this has a simple herbal, plummy aroma of a basic, fruit-driven red wine. Tannins are light and drying but supple enough.Tannins are light and drying but supple and smooth. It’s a drink-now style but arguably needs food because of its savouriness. It’s excellent value in its category, and actually tastes distinctively like sangiovese. (Screwcap)
