Region and Vineyard
This Chenin Blanc is sourced from two exceptional sites in Margaret River, Western Australia. The first vineyard, planted in 1992, is certified organic and biodynamic, located just 2.5 kilometers from the ocean. Its wild, untrellised vines thrive with the help of cooling sea breezes and a creek that runs through the land. The second site, planted in 1980 in Wilyabrup, sits on granite-rich red gravel soils at an elevation of 80 meters, contributing refined aromatics to the final blend.
Winemaking
Crafted by winemaker Nic Peterkin with precision and care, the grapes were hand-picked, chilled overnight, sorted by bunch, and gently whole-bunch pressed. Fermentation occurred naturally in seasoned French oak barrels with no malolactic fermentation. The wine aged on lees for ten months with fortnightly stirring to enhance depth and texture, then bottled unfined and lightly filtered to preserve its character.
