Product Description
First bottled in 1943, Five Roses was the very first rosé wine produced in Italy, born from the vision and boldness of Don Piero during the final years of World War II. It was even presented to American General Charles Poletti, Supply Officer of the Allied Forces.
Made from a blend of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera, grapes are harvested slightly earlier than for red wines. After cold maceration, the must undergoes clarification and fermentation in steel tanks at low temperatures to preserve freshness and aromatics.
The wine displays a bright, brilliant pink-red colour with delicate aromas of red currant, rosehip, and wild berries. On the palate, it is juicy and fresh, with a dense fruit core and a finely textured, elegant finish.
