90/100 — Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front · 2024 Vintage · Tasted: Feb 2026
“It’s a bit round-shouldered – the flavours are mostly mid-palate focussed – but the flavour profile is highly enjoyable and it feels satisfying. It’s a good drink. It tastes of plums, red cherries, roasted meats, toasted peppercorns and florals, and from the first sip through to the last, it just works.”
About This Wine
Little Yering Shiraz is an introduction to the Yering Station range, produced as a Victorian expression with a velvety and rich profile.
The wine shows dark fruit character with a hint of black pepper and balanced toasted oak, delivering a lingering impression with spice.
Producer Notes
Deep garnet hue.
Red plums, crushed mulberries, light cedar wood and lifted fine szechuan spices.
Vibrant deep red berries meet juicy red delicious apple acidity. Subtle, structural oak frames the mid-palate with notes of fresh cacao and gentle spice. Plush yet lively tannins deliver a smooth, elegant finish.
