Dandelion Vineyards is a fusion of vineyards and vignerons, with each wine sourced from a single site. The Enchanted Garden of the Eden Valley is a Riesling vineyard perched atop rocky hills in Eden Valley. Grapes were picked early March, with free-run juice fermented between 11 and 13 degrees Celsius to preserve natural acidity and low pH. The wine was bottled directly with minimal winemaking artifact to capture the essence of the vineyard.
Tasting Notes
Colour
Starbright clear very pale straw.
Nose
Bath salts and mineral salts, talcum powder, quartz crushed and intense citrus: lemon flesh and lime zest. Honeysuckle, orange blossom; ruby grapefruit and freshly cut mandarin. Aromaticity so striking you can almost taste it.
Palate
A soft mineral water texture drawn by very linear acidity. Bone dry with an atomic core of intense yet exotic riesling fruit flavour, from steely passionfruit to musk and roses. Long, rising then gently falling structure with a lingering steel and mineral finish.
About the Winery
