36 SOUTH takes its name from the latitude of the Morris winery and distillery that has been the home of the Morris family since 1859. The extreme seasonal climate here at 36 South is a huge part of our unique aging process, allowing the development of whisky which is smooth and easy but still complex. After distillation, the spirit is aged onsite in Morris family owned Australian red wine barrels to impart incredible depth of flavour.
It gives beautiful golden syrup and rolled oats on the front palate, developing into hints of ANZAC biscuits and toasted oak. A long, buttery finish with notes of spiced gingerbread give it a true depth and complexity of flavour. Fantastic by itself or in a whisky and dry, this is a truly iconic Australian whisky from the team at MORRIS.
