A. Rodda - Whitlands Chardonnay 6 Pack - 2024

Whitlands, planted 1995 and sitting at 600 meters ASL. White peach, lime, spice, a light smoky note, a little almond, a sniff or jasmine floating above. It’s bright and juicy, tangy lime and grapefruit, a green mango flavour, a dusting of cinnamon and ginger, a fine powdery texture, mouth-watering acidity, closing long and tight, a saline green olive thing in the aftertaste. Such energy, perhaps with a little more almond creaminess and flavour than last year’s model. Lovely wine. 95 Points Gary Walsh, THE WINE FRONT
