Ashton Hills Vintage Rose is a glorious wine, as it always is. It is actually one of the wines I buy for myself to drink, and if you want some, well, you're welcome to buy it too. With time in the bottle, the 2019 is in peak form. Red and pink fruits, just a hint of browned apple, spice and almost Burgundian fruit cherry/mineral interplay. The palate has fresh acidity, a savoury core and lovely length. I recommend buying these now, as I am not sure I'll be able to hold off drinking them over the summer. Established in 1982, Ashton Hills is an iconic vineyard that all wine lovers must know. Dry grown in the Piccadilly Valley and lovingly cared for.
