The Abel Tasman is the flagship Pinot Noir of Bangor Vineyard and only the best performing vines are selected for this wine. Concentrated wild berries and red cherry fruits with an extra rounding and textured element of spicy oak characters. There are gamey and undergrowth characters, wild mushrooms and fine herbs with firm and grainy tannins providing strength and backbone on exit. It's a wine that will continue to develop, integrate and mellow out with time in the cellar through to 2033. Match with rare venison with a blueberry juis.
