Bindi Dhillon Col Mountain Shiraz 2018 750ml

This exceptional wine has been long-awaited since 2014 when we began experimenting with four clones from our impressive vineyard. We carefully matured and blended the wines until they reached a harmonious and expressive state. The Col Mountain Shiraz is primarily comprised of the smooth and aromatic clones PT23 and 1654, with a touch of the robust and rich Yalumba and R6WV28. These wines, grown in deep red soil with abundant shattered rock, have a distinct earthiness and structure compared to our traditional source of Shiraz from Colbinabbin Estate. This bold and flavourful wine boasts scents of black cherry and blackberry, and its full-bodied nature gains strength from the middle to the back palate. It is not weighty, but rather lively and robust with a chewy and lingering finish. It is currently drinking beautifully and has potential to age for at least another decade.
