Located in Islay's capital of the same name, Bowmore uses a combination of dedicated craftsmen, pure water, smoked peat and traditional manufacturing techniques to ensure that their whisky tastes the same as it did when it was first distilled in 1779. The whiskies used to compose the 18 year have spent their time exclusively in either ex-Bourbon barrels or in ex-Sherry casks. They are then blended together to produce this treasure.
