In the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation
It is within the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation that Château Lagrange, 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, is located. The vineyard of this appellation located on the left bank of the Gironde, in the heart of the Médoc between Margaux and Pauillac, has a remarkable particularity with 90% of its surface area belonging to Grands Crus Classés.
Located on two hilltops of Günzian gravel, one of which is the highest point of the AOC Saint Julien, the vines of Château Lagrange extend in one piece around the castle. In the heart of the wine estate, there are also about forty hectares of park and woods, as well as a lake, constituting an exceptional natural heritage. Exceptionally, the surface area and plots of today's vineyard are exactly those that were classified in 1855 under Napoleon III.
