Christophe et Fils - Chablis Grand Cru 'Blanchots' - 2023

Maybe a small spice but I don’t see any wood aromatic. Large, concentrated but supple and mobile. A wine with beautiful dimensions of flavour and some salinity too. Cushioned but still with a mineral energy. A small accent of the barrel but nothing that would force me to wait 2-3 years for it to fade. The finish bounds forward with a super scale and clarity too – really complex with a little zesty style. I’m loving this – that’s a great finish – in fact I will wait a couple of years for the start of the wine to catch up with the finish – it’s certainly an excellent grand cru !! Burgundy Report
