Sourced from steep, old-vine parcels on the blue schist of Mont Brouilly, this is a more grounded and structured wine than the Chiroubles. The fruit profile sits in the redcurrant and darker berry spectrum, but what defines it is the distinctly mineral, almost ferrous smokiness that comes from this volcanic terroir. There is a sense of energy throughout—nothing heavy—but the palate carries more bass weight, finishing with fine, powdery tannins and a persistent savoury edge. A compelling example of Côte de Brouilly’s depth without sacrificing drinkability.
