From rockier soils within Corcelette, the Cailloux bottling offers a more structured and mineral expression of the site. The fruit sits alongside notes of orange peel, spice and a distinctive hot-stone character, giving the wine a more architectural feel than the Sable. There is greater tension through the palate, with firmer tannins and a longer, more assertive finish. Still balanced and energetic, but clearly built with cellaring in mind. This will gain nuance and breadth with time.
