The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru continues to show a patina of new oak, dark berry fruit, sous-bois and light floral scents, iris petal and violet. This gains cohesion with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly powdery texture. This has a wonderful mouthfeel, slightly granular, with dark berry fruit laced with tobacco and graphite and a classically-styled finish that lingers long in the mouth.
