The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Les Hautes Maizières, which comes from clayey, fossil-rich soils, has a fragrant bouquet with Morello cherries, wild strawberry and light rose petal scents. Very understated at first but gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant sapidity on the entry, fine tannins, pleasing sharpness with a touch of Asian spice on the finish.
