Here too there is enough wood to mention framing the cooler and exuberantly fresh aromas of citrus, apple and brine plus a variety of shellfish scents, especially shrimp and oyster. There is borderline painful intensity to the imposing and tautly muscular larger-scaled flavors that retain a lovely sense of refinement on the chiseled, balanced and built-to-age finale.
