Focused Premier Cru Chablis with citrus, white peach, wet stone and a long saline finish.
About The Wine
Domaine Roland Lavantureux Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey 2020 is a finely cut, mineral Premier Cru Chablis with real precision and quiet power. The 2020 vintage shows lovely concentration and tension, balancing ripe citrus and orchard fruit with a distinctly stony, cool toned line. This is a serious Chardonnay from one of Chablis’ most admired growers, offering both immediate class in the glass and the structure to reward further time in bottle.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Citrus zest, white peach, subtle spice and wet stone minerality.
Palate: Taut and beautifully detailed, with lemon, orchard fruit and a sleek mineral core wrapped in fine texture and vibrant acidity.
Finish: Long, dry and saline, with chalky persistence and a flinty, mouthwatering close.
Serving Suggestions
Serve well chilled with oysters, scallops, grilled whiting, roast chicken or soft white cheeses.
