Dr. Hermann - Pinot Noir - 2023

The 2023 Pinot Noir is from a very difficult Pinot vintage because the grapes had to be selected carefully and the yield was reduced by 50% due to the summer rain. Bottled unfiltered in December last year, the wine opens with an intense and fresh cherry and dark berry aroma with spicy slate and reductive notes. Silky, lush and generous on the palate, this is a tight, fresh and concentrated, substantial and sustainable Pinot with ripe and fleshy fruit, good juice and extract and a long, intense and aromatic finish with fine and spicy tannins intermingled with the saline terroir notes of the Himmelreich and Rosenberg crus. 93 Points Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate
