The 2024 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben is from a tiny, super steep plot above the Prälat, from 100+-year-old vines on blue-gray slate soils. Vinified in fuders and stainless steel, this beauty shows a super intense yet subtle bouquet of ripe fruits intertwined with herbal/floral nuances and finely weathered slate soils. Rich but highly delicate on the palate, this is a dense, generous, vital and stimulatingly saline and crystalline Riesling with great terroir expression and a long, complex and irresistible finish.
