A very difficult year because of extreme drought, whereas Barolo had some rain. Pale ruby. Earthy cherry that is a tiny bit singed but that doesn’t impact the freshness of fruit displayed on the nose. A core of complex cherry fruit with firm tannins that will need some time, but the whole strikes a balance. This just demands patience. 17/20 Points Walter Speller, Jancisrobinson.com
