About This Whisky
Glenmorangie 13 Year Old Moscatel Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky matured initially in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, followed by a second maturation of seven years in the distillery’s first-ever parcel of Moscatel dessert wine casks. The majority of the whisky was distilled in 2009. Bottled without chill filtration or added colour.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Glowing copper.
Nose: Juicy summer fruits, orange and strawberry cream, followed by floral honeysuckle and spiced pudding.
Palate: Creamy vanilla custard, chocolate orange and ANZAC biscuit, with spiced baked apple lingering into a rich finish.
About the Distillery
Glenmorangie Distillery is located on the banks of the Dornoch Firth near Tain in Ross-shire, northern Scotland. Founded in 1843, the distillery draws its water from the Tarlogie Spring and operates with 16 stainless steel washbacks and 12 stills.
