A pinot noir sourced from Pipers River; bright ruby with aromas of nutmeg-dusted red and dark cherry fruits, wild strawberry and raspberry, plus underlying tones of turned leaf litter, Chinese five-spice, gentle crushed herbs, vanillin oak, cold tea, cherry clafoutis and earth. Some nice gamey tones suffuse the ripe fruits on the palate, a touch of sour cherry and spicy oak and a swift briny cadence driving things forward.
